Upper Silurian Lone Mountain Dolomite

Eureka County, Nevada

A roadcut exposes the upper Silurian Lone Mountain Dolomite in eastern Eureka County, Nevada, not far from the western border of White Pine County, Nevada. The Lone Mountain geologic unit yields locally common corals, crinoid stems, and brachiopods. A Google Maps street car perspective that I edited and processed through photoshop.
